Project Overview

Samsung Electronics is a major producer of various home appliances. While mobile devices and TVs have relatively good accessibility, home appliances often receive less attention in this area. To improve accessibility for visually impaired users across all home appliances, we conducted usability evaluations with actual visually impaired individuals. The findings were then formulated into guidelines and applied to all products.

My Contributions

I contributed over 80% to this project, from the initial proposal and usability evaluations to the creation of guidelines. The features identified through this project were successfully implemented across all home appliances.

The results of this project were applied to all home appliances, including refrigerators, washing machines, air conditioners, and robot vacuum cleaners. By enhancing the accessibility of Samsung, a leader in the global home appliance market, I take pride in knowing that we have improved the lives of visually impaired people around the world.
